This work is about temptations, surfaces and everything we cover ourselves with to appear cute, innocent or perfect. Everything is pink and pretty on the outside, but underneath there is an emptiness. PINK LIES explores the feeling of being trapped in something that should actually be safe and good, but which is in reality an illusion. What glitters is not always real.

I have always been fascinated by the contrast between sugary aesthetics and what really lies beneath the surface. Although the work is small in format, it contains great tension – a moment of staged innocence.
