YOU NEVER LEFT

This work is about my anxiety – and the realization that it never really went away. It has always been there in the background, quietly but constantly. "You Never Left" is a visual interpretation of something invisible and heavy, that you learn to live with, but never completely free from.

The background is built up with layers of texture and contrasts. The unsettling expression reflects how something dark can feel both familiar and uncomfortable at the same time. The image is a silent cry, but also a form of acceptance.
